Residential Trenchless Pipe Lining

It’s bound to happen to every Fort Collins property owner eventually—your property’s pipes buried deep below the  foundation or beneath your landscaped lawn—get backed up or damaged and require a repair or replacement. Most won’t even know they have a problem with their pipes until it’s too late. And by that time, it’s a job for our team of trenchless pipe repair experts.

Here are some common problems that would call for trenchless repair:

  • Cracked/Crushed pipes
  • Corroded pipes
  • Misaligned pipes
  • Slow draining pipes
  • Root intrusion
  • Severe debris/sewage/sand/lime back-up

How Does Trenchless Pipe Lining Work?

Traditional pipe repair is an invasive ordeal that can last the better part of a week. This extreme procedure involves digging down to a damaged pipe, cutting out the problem section and replacing it with a new pipe. This excavation can be an enormously destructive process often ruining landscaped yards and gardens, paved driveways and other structures. Traditional pipe repair also generates excessive amounts of excavated debris and contaminated waste which ends up in a landfill upon job completion.

The extensive length of the job becomes even more pressing if the pipes were carrying something more harmful than water, like sewage or natural gas. Even worse, property owners usually end up being forced to rip up their lawn or driveway to get at the problem area, spending thousands of dollars and creating quite the eyesore in the process.  Luckily, there is a far better, cleaner, faster and less disruptive alternative: trenchless pipe replacement

What can Trenchless Pipe Replacement Do For You?

At Lighten Up Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electric, our trenchless experts can reline and repair your existing damaged, leaking pipe without ever removing it from the ground and without excavation or damage to. We restore the integrity of your existing pipes internally, using epoxy based coating or Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) lining, thereby eliminating the need for expensive, intrusive digging.

Here’s How We Do It:

  1. Camera inspection of the pipes is performed to determine exact site and extent of damage. This is also helpful for revealing blockages that could be exacerbating the problems with the damaged piping.
  2. The pipe is cleaned with proper equipment and restored to the original circumference.
  3. Epoxy/CIPP coated fiberglass sleeve is lowered into the hole until it reaches the damage site.
  4. Fiberglass sleeve is then inserted into the broken pipe where it is inflated to fill the damaged area and ultimately form a new section of piping
  5. Camera inspection is then re-performed for quality assurance.

At Lighten Up Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electric, our trenchless repair team takes an upfront, pragmatic approach to each job. Our industry standard repair methods are the result of decades of expertise, combined with a passion for meeting the unique needs and challenges of each and every client. We offer multiple existing pipe repair options. To determine if epoxy/CIPP pipe re-lining will work best for you and your project, contact us today!
